The gardens are now entering its late Spring phase, with deciduous azaleas in a range of colours in full bloom. Our wildflower meadow near the entrance with a succession of species starting flower over the coming weeks, and providing an essential resource for local insects.

Late flowering Rhododendrons are blooming, particularly deep orange and pink forms, as well are many of our Viburnums showing...

We have had a busy couple of months in the garden with lots of lovely visitors and groups enjoying the Spring colour and hospitality of the Teahouse.  It makes it so rewarding for the gardeners and Teahouse staff when we receive such lovely reviews after a visit.

Rhododendron 'Cynthia' one of Ramster's signature Rhododendrons is in full bloom, lining the drive with rich pink flowers, and dotted throughout the garden.


The Azalea garden is full of colour with the Hyde Azalea bed near Acer Walk continuing to look particularly good.

It is the National Garden Schemes 90th Birthday this year and ours too as we have been opening for them without a break for 90 years,

The National Garden Scheme is the most significant charitable funder of nursing charities in the country, donating over £50 million so far.  The beneficiary charities are: The Queen’s Nursing Institute, Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Carers Trust, Hospice UK,...

We were so pleased to welcome Gardeners World and Rachel de Thame to Ramster Garden this week.  They were here to film our stunning collection of Rhododendrons and Azalea's.  The segment should be on air later this month.  We'll let you know as soon as we do!

It was a relief for the gardeners to see some rain this weekend, and a delight for us this morning to see the garden bathed in sunshine.

The Hyde collection in the Azalea garden is looking beautiful with 10-12 different types blooming. The bluebells are still holding on much to our surprise.
