In bloom now: 3rd May

The sun is out, the garden is blooming and with the bank holiday approaching here is what you can enjoy in the garden.

Rhododendron augustinii, an unmistakable species from South-West China forming masses of blue flowers. Best seen by Grouse Hole, and the stunning selection 'St Breward' in the Azalea Garden.

Our native bluebells are in peak bloom over the next week. These woodland wonders are providing incredible carpets of blue throughout the garden, but particularly in Magnolia Glade where Rhododendron loderi 'King George' is flowering - a must see!

At the edge of Ant Wood, Rhododendron 'Ascot Brilliant' is providing a wall of deep red blooms, and a great introduction to our hardy hybrid collection now bursting into flower in Ant Wood.

Cornus florida 'Cherokee Princess' found just behind the Tea House, is one of Ramster's star plants, with massive white flower bracts, forming a cascade of blooms. Something to admire while you have a well earned hot drink and delicious piece of cake...!! The perfect way to spend a bank holiday afternoon,
