Looking for something fun to do with the children this October half term?

Come and explore Ramster Garden on our autumn scavenger hunt, with plenty to spot and discover as you wander through the garden.

Once you’ve completed your hunt, head back to the Teahouse for some autumn-themed crafts and a well-deserved treat.

A lovely way to enjoy the colours of autumn, get some fresh air and keep little hands busy during half term!

Join us for a cosy morning art class, inspired by seasonal vegetables and Ramster Garden's autumn foliage.  Led by twice-represented Portrait Artist of the Year semi-finalist, Courtney Bae. All levels 8yrs+ are welcome.

Learn in a relaxing and enjoyable environment.  Mediums include pencil, charcoal, and pastels.  £28 class includes materials, a take-home sketchbook, a final work, and a complimentary hot drink from the Ramster Garden Teahouse.

Our Christmas Market returns this November, from Saturday, 21st November to Sunday 22nd November.  Set inside our beautiful Jacobean halls and outside in the courtyard, there will be a huge variety of stalls selling a unique collection of locally made gifts, food & drink, art and homeware​

There is a £3 charge to enter the market, the teahouse will be open as well for festive goodies.

From the last weekend in November we will have a huge selection of beautiful premium Christmas Trees for sale from our festive teahouse.

​

Come and enjoy a delicious hot chocolate or a mulled wine and a homemade mince pie while you wander amongst our trees and get friendly advice from our knowledgeable staff to help you find the perfect tree for you.

Ramster will be hosting two Christmas craft 'Make A Gnome & Take Him Home' events. A wonderfully festive activity with friends and family, and a fun creative alternative to making a wreath.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Come and make a famous Ramster gnome to sit on your doorstep. We will supply you with all the materials and show you how to make a gnome with Ramster fir.  You can enjoy this by yourself or as a family or with a group of friends.  Coffee and mince pies will be available. Just bring some secateurs and gloves and an apron if you like. ​​​​​​​​​

£35 per gnome includes a hot drink and mince pie.  Pre-booking required.

2027 marks a very special milestone for both the National Garden Scheme and Ramster Gardens.

​

Ramster first opened its gates for the National Garden Scheme in 1927, the charity’s very first year, and we are proud to be one of only two gardens to have opened for the NGS every year since.

​

To celebrate 100 years of opening for the National Garden Scheme, we will be holding a special NGS Charity Day on Friday 14 May, with extended opening until 7pm.

​

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore our 25-acre woodland garden throughout the day and into the early evening, enjoying the rhododendrons, azaleas and spring planting at one of the most colourful times of year.  The Ramster Teahouse will also be open for refreshments.

​

We hope you’ll join us to celebrate this remarkable centenary and help us continue supporting the National Garden Scheme and the nursing and health charities it funds.
